I was working feverishly through the night on some project for work, completely oblivious of the time, until this greeted me through the east side of the house. Local time: 6:02 AM. I haven’t seen many more sunrises.

I woke on a misty September morning to find the beginnings of a web, started fresh in the night. The photo didn’t come out too well, but it astonishes me that a spider managed to stretch its silk over five feet from the bush to the hedge.
Hmm…any guesses what it is?
As part of our leaving England, we took a trip on a historic steam train to the small Yorkshire village of Keighley. Walking through the town, my eye was caught by the odd little iron ring. No – I’m not telling you what it is. Guesses in the comments, please!
