You wouldn’t tell from this, but these empty arches are part of the ruins of Fountain’s Abbey in North Yorkshire. This is one of the most incredible places I know of in the world.

The gorgeous Sheffield Cathedral. It was bombed during World War II, and most of the left-hand side has been rebuilt in a more modern style. The whole thing is still beautiful, nonetheless.
