Remember, remember, the fifth of November; gunpowder, treason and plot.

This actually has nothing to do with Guy Fawkes’ Night. Early in my experimentation with digital photography, I decided to try my hand at nighttime images. The quality isn’t too great, but the halo around the moon still seems slightly ethereal.

Floating in the air…but what is it?

I’ll let you in on the mystery this time, because it is just too bizarre! Little Satis and I were completely puzzled by this little thing, floating tranquilly in the air; it turns out it’s a tiny piece of tree bark, suspended by a spider thread so thin it can’t even be seen. Delightful!

See the moon?

The late autumn sky from our backyard. This time of the year is my favorite; the seasons are wrapping up, all life is coming to a close, and the darkness is settling in.
