I found this wonderful black butterfly (moth?) outside one sunny, late summer afternoon. I absolutely love the coloring, with the little flecks of orange and red.

As cliché as it sounds, I’m always amazed by Central Park. You truly don’t feel like you’re even in a city – until you look up.

Sometimes I just like playing around with photos for the heck of it. I found the butterfly came out a lot clearer without the green of the leaves.
