Fallen bunker.

Past the Hamptons is a town called Montauk, and on its beach are these totems to wars past – slowly eroding concrete bunkers, fallen into the sea.

Near the Montauk Point Lighthouse can be found a broken and abandoned bunker built during World War II. Never used, never preserved.

A high rise…all by itself.

A high rise…all by itself.

This building in Montauk, New York, was built in the 20s/30s in anticipation of a large tourist community being built. It never happened, and it remained empty and abandoned for over fifty years. It’s now a series of apartments.
