This is from a trip to the wonderful gardens of Chatsworth House in  Derbyshire. The summertime flora on display there is astonishing, but the gem was when this little guy flew right into the picture as I was taking it.

Someone gave us potted herbs one summer, and only the thyme survived the winter. This is it, blooming the following Spring.
