The Redemption of Erâth: New Review

Hey everyone,

Just a very quick post to say that I found a new review for The Redemption of Erâth: Consolation on the Amazon UK site. Short and succinct, but five stars nonetheless!

Just finished this book and I want more! I was totally drawn in to the characters stories. As the drama unfolds the pace quickens, encouraging your empathy with the main character. Good quality writing and a very enjoyable, emotional and easy read. Highly recommended!

Thank you, Hellbell!

The Redemption of Erâth: History of Erâth

Someone pointed out to me recently that part of my problem with selling The Redemption of Erâth: Consolation is that I have absolutely no back-catalogue—I’m an utter unknown, and no one’s going to risk their hard-earned cash (even $3.99 of it) on someone they’ve never heard of before. No ratings, no reviews—nothing.

So I’ve decided to take a step back from the novels for a moment, and (as quick as possible) brush up the History of Erâth I wrote as an appendix to the stories themselves. It’s an interesting task, because this history forms the foundation of everything that happens in the novels: it was the original NaNoWriMo project that spawned the whole series, back in 2012 (or was it 2011?).

Thought of the Week: Is There Anything I’m Good At?

It’s starting to look like I suck at DIY. Mrs. Satis and I bought a shelf to put up in a spare room a couple of weeks ago, and so far I haven’t been able to put it up. I can’t even get past the putting holes in the wall part. Look:

Look—they just won't go in all the way!

Look—they just won’t go in all the way!

The instructions said to drill ¼-inch holes, so I did. That’s the biggest drill bit I have, by the way. But the wall plugs (toggles, whatever you want to call them) don’t fit the holes. I went back to Home Depot, and the very friendly assistant recommended a different kind of drywall anchors—supposedly self-screwing, no holes required. I tried those and they broke off in the wall. Great. Now what? I have five holes in a wall, nothing that fits, and a shelf still in pieces.
