Someone pointed out to me recently that part of my problem with selling The Redemption of Erâth: Consolation is that I have absolutely no back-catalogue—I’m an utter unknown, and no one’s going to risk their hard-earned cash (even $3.99 of it) on someone they’ve never heard of before. No ratings, no reviews—nothing.
So I’ve decided to take a step back from the novels for a moment, and (as quick as possible) brush up the History of Erâth I wrote as an appendix to the stories themselves. It’s an interesting task, because this history forms the foundation of everything that happens in the novels: it was the original NaNoWriMo project that spawned the whole series, back in 2012 (or was it 2011?).
What I’m doing at the moment is revisiting each part of the history, fixing spelling, grammar and minor plot holes (things that ended up changing in the novels). I’m actually publishing each part—one each day—on two websites: Wattpad and Inkitt. In addition to this, I want to test the waters of CreateSpace publishing by actually publishing the history as part of a longer set of appendices that go along with The Redemption of Erâth series. I might just publish the history first—since the rest of the appendices haven’t actually been written (these will include introductions to the languages found throughout the novels, as well as some background on the myths and legends of Erâth)!
Additionally, I’m seriously starting to consider another round of giveaways for The Redemption of Erâth: Consolation in preparation for the final publication of The Redemption of Erâth: Exile. I know I originally said I’d try and have the second book out by the summer, but I’d rather push it back a touch and make it as good as possible, than rush the publication and produce something substandard. I was thinking of the following: the first person to leave a comment on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/satiswrites/) each day will be gifted a Kindle copy via Amazon. I might run the giveaway through the end of August, or possibly starting in September, to try and drum up a little bit of readership.
What do you think? Would you be interested in reading the History of Erâth? And would you leave a comment in exchange for a free copy of a book? Let me know in the comments!

Greetings 🙂 I’d definitely be willing to leave an honest opinion, in exchange of a free copy of the book. And I’m glad to see that you haven’t given up on the response you got, but are instead trying to find ways to promote it. Good job!
Hi there—thanks for replying so swiftly! I would love to send you a copy of the book, especially if you are willing to leave an honest review somewhere (Amazon, Goodreads, iBooks—no preference!). I’m not even looking for ‘positive’ feedback—I’ve received 2-star reviews that were frankly more helpful than 5-star reviews. In fact, if you are willing to send me an email at satiswrites@icloud.com, I’ll send you a copy right now! Just let me know what format you’d prefer.
That’s awesome! I could certainly post a review on one of those sites, or even my blog, only that it could be a little short and might go up a little late, since my schedule is packed atm. We can carry on if you’re fine with this. 🙂
I’m more than happy for you to post anything you can, wherever you can, whenever you can. It’s been a year since the book was published, and so far I’ve had a grand total of three reviews! Every little bit helps—positive or negative. Let me know what format you’d like, and I can send it over to you.
Many thanks!
Okay then! If you could email me a pdf, that would be great.
