A moment in time – a solitary bee, hard at work.
This is from a trip to the wonderful gardens of Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. The summertime flora on display there is astonishing, but the gem was when this little guy flew right into the picture as I was taking it.

I prefer to think the little guy hatched and flew away, but it’s just as possible that Shelby ate him.
For sheer color and beauty, this is one of my all-time favorite shots.
