Hmm…any guesses what it is?

As part of our leaving England, we took a trip on a historic steam train to the small Yorkshire village of Keighley. Walking through the town, my eye was caught by the odd little iron ring. No – I’m not telling you what it is. Guesses in the comments, please!

View of Derbyshire from Higger Tor.

Another wondrous trip to the South Yorkshire Moors; I spent hours and hours wandering these sparse lands.

The wondrous heather of the Yorkshire moors.

The Yorkshire moors where we lived at the time are famous for the heather that blooms in late summer. This is one of my favorite spots; I have no idea what this tower is or why it’s there, but it certainly inspires the imagination.
