I love the way the sun is shining through the trees, late in the afternoon.
Visiting my wife’s family in New Jersey at the time, we all went out to a nearby park. There were barren trees all around us, the remnants of Autumn’s leaves on the ground, and a wonderful Winter sun looking down on us.

It looks pretty, but I still wouldn’t skate on it.
This is only a small pond, frozen over completely. The really astonishing sight is when you see entire reservoirs completely solid. Yes – it gets cold here.
