This was a plant Little Satis brought home from school one day. It lasted quite a while, and we eventually planted it outside where it grew into long, twisted vines.

The aloe bloom starts as a tiny bud that sprouts into an enormous shoot. At that point it branches out and produces these beautiful flowers that will eventually droop downward to release their pollen.

Towards the end of the aloe flower’s bloom it droops downward and opens. The pollen is colorful, and stains almost as badly as lilies.
