Almost sort of looks like it could be a face, with moss for hair.

I was captured by the vividness of the moss on this stump; it almost seems to be glowing.

Completely unrelated, some of the lands around here were toxic waste dumps in the fifties.

The northern sunsets are subtle, but beautiful.

Our house during this time was wonderful; nestled in the countryside, with wonderful views on all sides. I particularly enjoyed the sunsets; although not as vibrant as those nearer the equator, there is a gentleness and nobility about the lavenders and magentas.
